Create & Share Web Pages with Gemini

A step-by-step guide to generating a webpage, uploading it, and being able to share it with your coworkers.

Part 1: Create Your Page

1. Start Gemini Go to Gemini. In the main prompt area, look for the Tools menu and select Canvas. (This ensures you get a dedicated coding workspace for your page and can see the live preview)

2. Enter the Prompt Copy and paste this exact prompt to get started:

"Create a webpage in a single html file that says 'Hello Hollywood Park, I am a Gemini created page.' Make up three sections with different colors and fake text with some buttons and effects to show the power of a single prompt."

3. Refine & Perfect Gemini will generate a preview. Ask Gemini to make any changes you want (e.g., "Change the background to blue" or "Add a contact form") until you are happy with the result.

4. Copy the Code Click the Share button (top right of Canvas) and select Copy contents.

Part 2: Save to Computer

5. Open a Text Editor Windows: Open Notepad.
Mac: Open TextEdit (Format > Make Plain Text). Paste the code you copied into the empty file.

6. Save the File (Critical Step) Go to File > Save As...

⚠️ CRITICAL:

Name it: YourFileName.html
If you see a "Save as type" dropdown, change it to All Files (*.*).

7. Upload to the shared pages section Scroll up and use the upload button to upload your new page!
